For the past 17 years, Jaclyn Sienna India has organized vacations for America's elite, including Wall Street titans, tech VIPs, and Hollywood tycoons, with impeccable standards and unlimited resources.

Sienna Charles, a members-only travel agency, was founded by her, catering to wealthy clients who embark on million-dollar trips worldwide.

Even the busiest CEOs with high-pressure responsibilities utilize certain habits to optimize their time outside of work.

Workers at every level of a business can use these three strategies to unplug on vacation.

1. They delegate

Super-star colleagues are hired by executives and entrusted with important work, which helps them reach the top of the corporate ladder.

When they're out of office, India tells CNBC Make It that their key ability to delegate is helpful.

Staffers at any experience level can benefit from learning how to delegate.

Before embarking on your vacation, discuss with your manager the tasks that need to be completed before you leave, the responsibilities that can be delegated to other colleagues, and the tasks that can be postponed until your return.

While on PTO, a majority of Americans work, and about 30% feel guilty for not working while out of office.

Taking breaks from work can have significant physical and mental health benefits, and it's essential for enhancing creativity and productivity upon returning to work.

She states that top bosses in India's clientele understand the importance of turning off their brains and valuing it.

India also encourages travelers to disconnect from their phones and social media.

She advises that while many individuals take photos of their vacation for others, they should put their phone away and truly immerse themselves in the experience, savoring the moment and being present.

"She remarks that if you're absent and spend your entire trip capturing Instagram photos for others, you'll need another vacation because you didn't truly experience the trip."

3. They stick to their healthy routines

Sticking to your typical healthy habits can be beneficial, says India.

What are the things that contribute to your success and are part of your daily routine, and how do you bring them with you while traveling?

She advises to prioritize getting enough sleep, staying active, eating well, and avoiding overindulgence on vacation by bringing your routine with you.

"As someone who travels up to 300 days each year, I have experience with hotels offering me cakes and champagne in my room, but I don't consume those items in my normal daily life," India says.
