Man questioned in Pennsylvania in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO

On Monday, a man is being questioned by Pennsylvania police in relation to the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, according to NBC News.

According to NBC, a man was discovered with a gun that resembled the one used to murder 50-year-old Thompson by a masked gunman in New York City last Wednesday.

Police officers are heading to Altoona, Pennsylvania, to question the man.

On the day Thompson's funeral was scheduled in Minnesota, there was a significant development in the case.

The identity of the man questioned in Altoona is uncertain, as it is unclear if he is the same person who has been seen in surveillance footage of a person of interest in the killing, which was previously released by the New York Police Department.

In the United States, the largest private payer of health insurance benefits is a division of Thompson's company.

On Wednesday morning, a gunman shot the CEO from behind while he was on his way to an investor day meeting at the Hilton Hotel in midtown Manhattan.

The suspect escaped on a bike and pedaled into nearby Central Park.

The suspect was seen leaving the park on foot 20 blocks away from the shooting location and then took a taxi north to Washington Heights, where he was last seen entering the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

The police stated that the individual is believed to have arrived in New York City on November 24 via a bus from Atlanta and subsequently spent approximately half an hour wandering around the nearby streets of the Hilton that same night.
