On Friday, Trump posted on Truth Social, expressing his concern about the Arctic blast affecting the country and causing harm to people.
He ordered the Inauguration Address, prayers, and other speeches to be delivered in the United States Capitol Rotunda.
On Monday at midday, the National Weather Service forecasted "dangerously cold wind chills" ranging from six to ten degrees Fahrenheit, as shown in Trump's post that included screenshots.
Since 1985, Trump's presidential inauguration will be the first to be held indoors, just like Reagan's second-term swearing-in ceremony, which was moved indoors due to cold temperatures.
In a post on Friday, Trump announced that the Capital One Arena in D.C. will be used for a live broadcast of his inauguration and will also host a planned presidential parade.
"After my Swearing In, I will join the crowd at Capital One," Trump wrote.
The president-elect stated that his inauguration ceremonies, including a MAGA rally at the Capitol One Arena on Sunday afternoon, will remain the same. He assured that everyone would be safe and happy, and together, they would make America great again.
