On Tuesday, President Donald Trump will reveal a joint venture with OpenAI and pledge billions of dollars in AI infrastructure investment in the US, according to CNBC's Eamon Javers and NBC News' Peter Alexander.
According to sources, the Stargate project will be unveiled at the White House by Trump, Son from Softbank, and executives from Oracle and OpenAI.
According to CBS News, the companies are predicted to pledge an initial $100 billion and a maximum of $500 billion to the project in the next four years.
CBS reported that Stargate's initial collaboration will be a data center located in Texas.
In December, when Softbank's Son visited then-President-elect Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, he had already announced a four-year, $100-billion AI investment in the United States.
It was unclear if the investment announced on Tuesday would be in addition to Son's previous commitment.
