Trump Campaigns at McDonald's Drive-Thru, Harris Campaign Dismisses Stunt
  • In minutes of his brief stint at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on Vice President Kamala Harris.
  • Trump frequently makes the unsupported assertion that Harris lied about her job at McDonald's in her youth.
  • "Kamala never worked here, and I've been working for 15 minutes longer than her," Trump stated to a group of reporters through the drive-thru window.

In Feasterville, Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump served French fries to drive-thru customers and criticized Vice President Kamala Harris during a brief appearance.

"I've worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala, who never worked here," Trump said to reporters through a drive-thru window, wearing a McDonald's apron over his dress shirt and tie.

Harris has denied Trump's unproven claim that she lied about working at McDonald's in her twenties.

In Bucks County, Trump received training from employees on how to use the fry cooker and operate the drive-thru. He then distributed orders to a few customers, all of whom were his supporters.

"Trump stated, "I wouldn't mind this job again.""

Trump took several reporters' questions while at the drive-thru window.

"Strange place to do a news conference," he said.

Trump joked, "I'm not being paid enough. I want more money."

The Harris campaign scoffed at Trump's campaign stunt.

On Sunday, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris' running mate, posted on social media that this guy had spent decades evading workers' pay, reducing overtime benefits for millions, and opposed any attempts to increase the minimum wage.

"Kamala Harris has worked at McDonald's, joined workers on picket lines, and fights for working people," Walz stated.

Both campaigns are vying for the support of laborers by making promises such as abolishing taxes on gratuities. Harris has obtained the backing of numerous unions across the country, including the United Auto Workers and the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations.

In the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, with only 16 days remaining before the Nov. 5 election, Trump made a McDonald's appearance as part of a broader Sunday swing to attract voters' attention.

Elon Musk held a rally in Allegheny County, while Trump was scheduled to hold his own rally in Lancaster before attending the Pittsburgh Steelers football game against the New York Jets.
