On Tuesday, President-elect Trump declared a $20 billion investment from foreign sources to construct new data centers throughout the United States.
At Mar-a-Lago, the president-elect announced that Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani, a Trump associate and founder of DAMAC Properties, would contribute "at least" that amount.
Trump stated that Sajwani's company could potentially spend twice as much money, or even more, on their efforts.
Trump announced that the "first phase" of the plan will occur in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana.
