For weeks, residents have observed mysterious drones flying in the sky, prompting criticism from local officials and law enforcement, who claimed that the FBI and Department of Homeland Security are not transparent enough with the public.
Last week, the FBI and DHS stated that they had not found any evidence that the drone sightings posed a national security or public safety threat, and they had no evidence of a foreign connection to the drones. On Saturday, the agencies announced that many of the reported drone sightings were actually manned aircraft that had been mistakenly identified as drones.
