Jenna Ellis, a former lawyer for the Trump campaign, is cooperating in the Arizona fake electors investigation.
  • Attorney General Kris Mayes announced that former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in Arizona in their criminal cases against fake electors.
  • The charges against Ellis, who collaborated with her co-defendant Rudy Giuliani after the 2020 election to challenge the defeat of President Donald Trump by President Joe Biden, will be dropped by prosecutors.

Jenna Ellis, who served as a lawyer for former President Donald Trump's campaign, has agreed to assist prosecutors in Arizona in their investigation into individuals who attempted to overturn the 2020 election results, according to Attorney General Kris Mayes.

In exchange for her cooperation against the remaining 17 defendants in the case, prosecutors have dropped the nine felony counts that Ellis had faced, which included fraud, forgery, and conspiracy.

"This agreement marks a significant advancement in our case," Mayes stated. "I appreciate Ms. Ellis's collaboration with our investigation and prosecution."

"The attorney general stated that the insights of the individual are invaluable and will greatly aid the State in proving its case in court. As he had previously stated when the initial charges were announced, he will not allow American democracy to be undermined – it is far too important. Today's announcement is a win for the rule of law."

The remaining defendants in the case are disgraced lawyer Rudy Giuliani and the former New York City mayor who collaborated with Ellis in the failed attempt to overturn Trump's 2020 election loss.

The former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, lawyers John Eastman, Boris Epshteyn, and Christina Bobb, and Mike Roman, who led Election Day operations for the Trump campaign in 2020, have been charged.

The remaining defendants are Kelli Ward, Tyler Bowyer, Nancy Cottle, Jacob Hoffman, Anthony Kern, James Lamon, Robert Montgomery, Samuel Moorhead, Lorraine Pellegrino, Gregory Safsten, and Michael Ward.
