Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy's Department of Government Efficiency will collaborate with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who has been appointed to lead a new House subcommittee.

Greene and Comer, who aims to establish a DOGE subpanel early next year, have met with Ramaswamy and his team and are currently collaborating, a source close to the matter revealed to CNBC.

The Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, led by Greene, will use the DOGE acronym, which is also used by an outside-of-government entity appointed by President-elect Trump.

The congressional version, which was first reported by Fox News earlier in the day, has the same objectives as the one led by the two billionaires. Its goal is to investigate government waste and look for ways to streamline federal agencies and reduce bureaucracy, according to the source.

Exposing government problems to the public is a crucial step in increasing efficiency, according to Ramaswamy's spokesperson.

"We appreciate the establishment of a DOGE subcommittee by the House Oversight Committee to concentrate on this task. We eagerly anticipate collaborating."

Elon Musk and Ramaswamy will work closely with Comer, as stated by Comer in a Fox Business interview on Thursday morning.

Comer pledged to have his committee take action against "too many fat cats in government."

Greene expressed excitement about chairing a new subcommittee that will collaborate closely with President Trump, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and the entire DOGE team, as stated in a CNBC statement.

She promised to provide transparency and truth to the American people through hearings, stating that her panel would result in the dismissal of government bureaucrats.

"No topic will be off the table," she said.
