Elon Musk gives $75 million to pro-Trump PAC

Elon Musk has become one of Donald Trump's top political donors and is now serving as a prominent surrogate for the Republican presidential nominee.

The Federal Election Commission has disclosed that Musk, the world's wealthiest individual, has given nearly $75 million to America PAC, a super political action committee he established earlier this year to support Trump. Out of this amount, $72 million has already been spent.

During the third quarter, between July and September, the group's massive haul was entirely contributed by Musk.

According to FEC filings, the PAC, established in May, has spent a total of $102 million on the presidential race up to now.

Unlike most super PACs, America PAC is not investing in TV ads but rather in canvassers, direct mail, texts, and phone banking.

I find Elon Musk's foray into politics 'really off-putting', says Musk biographer Walter Isaacson

Elon Musk announced on Twitter that he will embark on a multi-day speaking tour through Pennsylvania, a crucial presidential swing state.

From 12:26 a.m. ET Wednesday to Monday night, I will be delivering a series of talks across Pennsylvania.

To attend one of my talks, there is no attendance fee. All you need to do is sign our petition supporting free speech, right to bear arms, and have voted in this election.

To clarify, you must have voted in Pennsylvania.

The petition demands that signers disclose their personal contact details, such as their full names, cell phone numbers, email addresses, and mailing addresses. This voter information is highly valuable to campaigns and political groups, who utilize it to refine their advertising and mobilization strategies.

No immediate response was received from Musk or his associates via email.

Musk's political shift and his support for Trump's bid to defeat Harris are highlighted by the pair of headlines.

On July 13, minutes after surviving an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Trump received a public endorsement from Musk.

In October, Musk joined Trump on stage at a rally and declared himself "Dark MAGA" while wearing a black "Make America Great Again" hat.

Last week, on Tucker Carlson's show on X, Musk stated that he founded America PAC to uphold the principles he holds dear.

He labeled several general concepts, including "free speech," "safe cities," and "self-protection," as "obvious centrist viewpoints."
