Health-care programs covering approximately half of Americans are overseen by CMS, which includes Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and Healthcare.gov.
Nearly 25% of the entire federal budget is accounted for by the four programs that have a combined spending of $1.6 trillion.

Trump announced his intention to nominate Oz, stating that our broken healthcare system harms everyday Americans and crushes our country's budget.
"Dr. Oz will lead in promoting disease prevention and reducing waste and fraud in the most expensive government agency, which accounts for a third of our nation's healthcare spending and a quarter of our entire national budget."
