Democrats who may feel disappointed about being overlooked prioritize party unity over personal emotions.

Pete Buttigieg, the Transportation Secretary, wrote on X that Tim Walz is both an effective governor and a pleasure to work with.

Buttigieg expressed excitement for the impact of his Midwestern voice, military experience, and common-sense values on the winning ticket, as well as the potential of the Harris-Walz administration to benefit Americans.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, whose state is a crucial battleground for Harris's presidential campaign, stated, "Vice President Kamala Harris has my wholehearted support, and I am confident that Governor Tim Walz will be an outstanding addition to the ticket, helping Kamala propel our country forward."

Shapiro stated that he is excited to travel throughout the Commonwealth to rally Pennsylvanians in support of Kamala Harris' campaign to defeat Donald Trump and become the 47th President of the United States, ultimately leading to a brighter future for our country.

The vice president's first public appearance with Walz as her running mate is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, when Shapiro is expected to join them at a rally in Philadelphia.

Governor @Tim_Walz and Vice President @KamalaHarris will propel us forward, as stated by Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona.
