On Wednesday evening, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who is Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, will give his pitch to voters at the Democratic National Convention.
After President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race, Walz emerged as a top contender for Vice President on Harris' shortlist due to his candid and relatable media interviews and approachable Midwestern personality. It is anticipated that he will leverage these strengths during his keynote speech on Wednesday night.
Pete Buttigieg, a rising star in the Democratic party, is the final speaker on a list that includes former President Bill Clinton and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
John Legend and other special guests will perform musical numbers during the evening, which will be hosted in part by actor and producer Mindy Kaling.
