Despite some Democratic lawmakers urging him to withdraw, President Joe Biden's campaign reaffirmed on Friday that he will remain the Democratic nominee, emphasizing that he continues to have voter support.

Despite voters frequently bringing up President Biden's age when contacted, our target voters, including both reengagement and true swing voters, remain committed to voting for him, indicating that the debate has not negatively impacted support among the voters who will ultimately determine the outcome of this election, according to a memo first reported by NBC News.

The memo stated that Joe Biden has made it clear that he is running for president and intends to win, as he is the presumptive nominee with no plans for an alternative candidate.

On Friday morning, Rep. Sean Casten of Illinois joined the growing number of Democrats calling for the president to drop out, becoming the 21st House Democrat to do so.

Recently, the Montana senator made a statement following reports that both Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had spoken with Biden about the potential impact of his presidential bid on the party's chances of retaining both chambers of Congress in November.

"Joe Biden will soon be officially nominated, and it's long overdue for us to put aside our differences," the Kanninen memo stated. "The only one who benefits from our fighting is Trump."

Biden's campaign acknowledged that many polls show him trailing Trump, with Kanninen writing, "We have our work cut out for us to win this November."

Biden, who tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday, is currently self-isolating in Rehoboth, Delaware.

On MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Friday, Jen O'Malley Dillon, the campaign chair for Biden, stated that the president will be resuming his campaign activities next week.
