President Joe Biden will not visit Jordan as part of his Middle East trip this week due to the cancellation of a leaders summit on humanitarian aid for Palestinians on Tuesday.

In response to the deadly bombing of a hospital in Gaza, the decision was made as unrest across the region increased.

Biden was set to meet with Jordan's King Abdullah, Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and Palestinian Authority president Mahmound Abbas following his visit to Israel.

Jordanian foreign minister Ayman Safadi stated on state television that it is pointless to discuss any topic other than ending the war at the moment.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas intensified on Tuesday when hundreds of people were killed in a bombing of the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City.

A White House official informed CNBC that Biden expressed his deepest sympathy for the victims of the hospital explosion in Gaza and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The official stated that the White House took into account the days of mourning declared by President Abbas for the victims of the hospital attack when deciding not to travel to Jordan.

Video footage depicted harrowing images of the victims following the bombing, which Hamas militants claimed was caused by Israeli airstrikes.

The Israeli Defense denied that its targeted bombing in Gaza was responsible for destroying the hospital. A spokesperson for the Israeli Defense stated that a hospital is a highly sensitive building and not an IDF target. The IDF is currently investigating and prioritizes accuracy.

In capitals, protesters gathered in anger and called for an end to the Israeli military operation.

The Gaza Strip's two million inhabitants are subject to Israel's aerial bombardment campaign, which is part of a total siege that involves cutting off water, food, and electricity supplies.

The cancellation of the summit in Gaza was a reflection of Biden's commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis there, which was a significant aspect of his trip.

The U.S. has been collaborating with Egypt and Israel to establish humanitarian routes to evacuate women and children from the most affected regions.

Biden stated on "60 Minutes" that he believes there will be an opportunity for innocent people in Gaza to obtain medicine, food, and water.
