After his election victory, Trump abstains from social media usage.
  • Since winning the 2024 election, President-elect Donald Trump has not posted on Truth Social, the platform operated by his social media company Trump Media.
  • Since defeating Vice President Kamala Harris, he has not posted on Elon Musk's X, Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook and Instagram, or TikTok.
  • Trump disclosed to NBC News that he had conversed with approximately 70 global leaders, including Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine.

Despite being known for boasting about his achievements, Donald Trump has been quiet on social media since his election, despite achieving what is considered one of his greatest political accomplishments.

Since before all polls closed on Election Day, Trump has not posted on Truth Social, the platform operated by his social media company, and he has not trumpeted his victory on X, the social media site owned by his top campaign backer Elon Musk.

Since Tuesday, Trump's official Instagram and TikTok accounts have not been updated, with the most recent posts being video messages from Trump urging Republican voters to remain in line at their polling sites.

Is it unclear if Trump's social media absence is intentional or if he is simply taking a break after a campaign where he posted frequently?
