What motivated Brooklyn Peltz Beckham to launch a hot sauce brand: "I wanted to revive the allure of condiments"
At 25 years old, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has already explored various career paths.
As a child, he mimicked his father David's actions and engaged in soccer and imitated. Recently, he published a photography book. Currently, he claims to have discovered his true passion in the culinary field.
During pandemic lockdowns, Peltz Beckham, along with co-founders Gabe Pepe and Kai Gayoso, came up with the idea for Cloud23, an elevated take on hot sauce now available at Whole Foods across the country.
"I was just like, 'I love cooking, but I don't really want to be a chef,'" he says. "I'm obsessed with design, so I wanted to go into the business aspect of cooking."
Peltz Beckham discovered an opportunity in the hot sauce and condiment industry and spent three years conducting research and development to create a unique hot sauce bottle.
"He wanted to revive the allure of condiments, according to Make It. He believes that the appearance is just as crucial as the ingredients in attracting customers."
A two-pack of organic sauces is available in two flavors, Sweet Jalapeño and Hot Habanero, and costs $34.99.
Beckham insists that Cloud23 is not a celebrity vanity project, despite the possibility of being dismissed as such.
"He claims to have designed every minute detail of Cloud23, including the bottle, naming it, and creating the sauce. He refers to it as his baby."
"He met with each investor and shared his passion for the project while helping with the investor deck during his search for investors in Arizona."
Peltz Beckham intends to expand his brand to become a household name in America, with the goal of outliving his popularity. Meanwhile, Cloud23 is working on its own versions of popular condiments.
"He declares that he has never been happier while working, as he strived to establish a reputation and demonstrate his passion for his work."
