This holiday season, you can enjoy a luxurious stay on Richard Branson's private island—starting at $5,400 per night.
Have you ever desired to experience life as Sir Richard Branson or take a walk on his private beach?
Sir Branson is inviting people to visit his private island in the Caribbean, Necker Island, during the holiday season or for over $100,000.
This year, Sir Branson and his team at Necker Island are introducing new offerings for stays from November 18-25 and December 11-20, with rates starting at $5,400 a night per room. Additionally, stays from December 20-26 will start at $5,850. There are a total of 24 rooms available to book on the island.
James Basson, Necker Island's general manager, tells CNBC Make It that the island aims to provide every guest with a unique and luxurious experience, where they feel like they've discovered their own private slice of paradise. The island offers a level of exclusivity, personalization, and laidback luxury that is unmatched anywhere else in the world.
The rate encompasses lodging, all meals and beverages, round-trip boat transfers from Virgin Gorda or Beef Island airports, water sports, and additional children's activities.
No departures are allowed on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
Basson remarks that the season is highly valued and offers travelers a unique opportunity to celebrate the holidays in a manner befitting Necker Island's exclusivity.
The staff on Necker Island will be providing bespoke holiday-themed experiences for guests, including "Get Grinched Beach Olympics," a visit from Santa Claus, and "The Nutcracker" themed balls.
Basson stated that the aim of these experiences is to enable guests to create unique memories, in the style of Necker Island.
Necker Island will provide children with experiences such as guided wildlife interactions, pirate hat making, and cooking classes in addition to adult-friendly activities.
In 1976, six years after founding the Virgin Group, Sir Branson, at age 28, purchased Necker Island for $120,000, as stated in a 2018 Bloomberg interview.
After four years, Branson opened up Necker Island to guests.
Notable individuals who have previously visited the island include Kate Winslet, former President Barack Obama, and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Sir Branson's representatives did not promptly respond to CNBC Make It's inquiry for comment.
