In 2023, virtually every major streaming service increased their prices, making it more expensive than ever to stay current on the latest shows and movies.
Notable price hikes from this year include:
- Hulu going from $14.99 per month to $17.99 per month
- Max going from $14.99 per month to $15.99 per month
- Disney+ going from $10.99 per month to $13.99 per month
- Apple TV+ going from $6.99 per month to $9.99 per month
- Prime Video adding a $2.99 monthly surcharge for ad-free streaming

Four streaming deals to watch out for during Black Friday.
Hulu
Disney+ is currently providing new subscribers with a one-year subscription to its ad-supported tier for just 99 cents per month, which is significantly cheaper than its regular monthly price of $7.99. Additionally, customers can choose to add an ad-supported Disney+ plan for an extra $2 per month.
Max
The streaming service, previously known as HBO Max, is offering a 70% discount on its ad-supported tier to attract subscribers. The Black Friday deal includes a six-month subscription for $2.99 per month, which is a significant savings of $42 compared to the normal monthly rate of $9.99.
Peacock
Peacock Premium, the home of "Poker Face" and "The Office," is currently offering two deals to customers. The first deal allows customers to pay $1.99 per month for 12 months, which is a $4 monthly discount from the regular price of $5.99. The second deal offers a year of Peacock for an upfront payment of $19.99, which is significantly cheaper than the current price of $59.99.
Paramount+
This Black Friday, the "Yellowstone" streamer is providing two promotions. Customers can choose to pay $1.98 per month for three months of Paramount+, which is $2.99 less than the regular $4.99 rate. Alternatively, they can opt for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME for an ad-free experience and a larger content library, which costs $3.96 per month for three months, which is $8 less than the usual $11.99 rate.
