Since its inception, I have witnessed both the correct and incorrect ways to use generative AI as an OpenAI GPT-4 education partner via Khan Academy, the author of the best-selling AI for job searching book on Amazon, and the official AI career trainer for institutions including Harvard Business School and the University of Texas.

Smart professionals use these five AI hacks to maximize their job performance and simplify their lives:

1. Do your research

To ensure the success of your company's big event, it is crucial to customize it according to your customers' preferences.

Instead of making assumptions, why not ask customers directly about their interests?

"A market research project or a research agency may require money and time that we don't have, which can be frustrating to think about."

To accomplish a task using Google Forms, click the AI button at the top of the page and tell the tool what you need help with.

You can easily create a survey and send it out with just a few clicks.

To open your Form responses in a Google Sheet, click the Gemini icon and ask the tool to:

3. Get organized

My former colleague with ADHD demonstrated how generative AI can be an excellent organizer and project planner, even if you don't have ADHD.

The survey revealed that customers desire an interactive networking event, so let's use ChatGPT to generate a specific prompt.

Rewritten: AI can not only generate text but also display it in various formats, such as tables, and enable the user to export the data in files.

You can easily upload a file into your favorite project planning tool like Trello or Asana by telling the AI to do so.

4. Prepare a presentation

To ensure a successful networking event, consider creating a step-by-step slide deck to guide attendees.

Instead of urgently requesting your designer to create a presentation, visit Canva, create a new presentation, and enter the prompt under the Design tab.

In a matter of seconds, you'll have a customizable deck that you can modify to your liking.

Original: "I need to prepare for my presentation on the benefits of using renewable energy sources." Rewritten: "My presentation on the advantages of renewable energy sources requires preparation."

5. Measure your impact

The event was a huge success, and several attendees expressed their gratitude for the planning.
