Her consistent morning routine is a key factor in Kamala Harris's ability to handle 90-hour workweeks.

On Monday, Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast, Harris, the current U.S. vice president and Democratic nominee for president, revealed that she starts each day with two routines: a balanced breakfast and a workout.

"Harris stated that he typically works 14 to 15 hour days and exercises every morning, regardless of the amount of sleep he gets. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy mind, body, and spirit, as this is the only time of day he truly feels in control."

In 2018, Harris did elliptical workouts or 30-minute SoulCycle sessions and her breakfasts consisted of generic, low-sugar Raisin Bran and tea with lemon. Currently, she prefers a spinach omelet, chicken apple sausage, and toast. "Then I'm gone," she told Sharpe.

It appears that Harris enjoys consistency, as evidenced by her adherence to a routine every morning and her practice of beginning all her meetings promptly.

"On Monday, leadership researcher Brené Brown's "Unlocking Us" podcast heard her say, "Being on time is really important to me. I've never seen an elected leader who is always on time, but I feel that I owe other people the respect of knowing their time is important.""
