Travelers can sail along the path of the 2026 total solar eclipse with Holland America Line.

The "path of totality" will be crossed by three trips offered by the cruise line, one of which is a 35-day round-trip from Boston on the Voyage of the Vikings: Solar Eclipse, departing on July 18, 2026.

The Scandinavian Solar Eclipse trip, lasting 28 days, commences on July 25 from Dover, England or Rotterdam, with stops in Greenland and Scotland. Meanwhile, the Mediterranean Solar Eclipse trip includes an overnight stop in Barcelona and departs from Portugal on August 9.

The Voyage of the Vikings includes stops in Greenland, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Iceland. On the return journey, travelers will witness a solar eclipse off the western coast of Iceland before arriving back in the U.S.

The Scandinavian Solar Eclipse trip will include stops in Norway and Iceland, with the eclipse viewing taking place off Iceland's northwest coast.

The Mediterranean Solar Eclipse will journey through France, Italy, Montenegro, and Spain, among other countries. Visitors will be able to witness the eclipse from the Spanish coast.

The cruises will not only offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience but also include activities such as lectures and scientific specialists. Guests will receive eclipse glasses.

The National Solar Observatory has announced that the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, will cross over the Arctic Ocean, Greenland, Iceland, the Atlantic Ocean, Portugal, and northern Spain.

Prices for interested travelers to book starting July 31 have not yet been announced.
