Apply now to drive the iconic Wienermobile and receive $35,600 from Oscar Mayer.
Oscar Mayer is seeking an individual who would enjoy driving one of America's most renowned vehicles.
The brand's famous Wienermobiles are being driven around the country by paid spokespeople known as Hotdoggers, who have been launched nationwide by the processed meat giant.
The company is seeking 12 drivers to operate a 27-foot-long vehicle, which is equivalent to 54 wieners arranged in a line.
The Wienermobile drivers, known as the Hotdoggers, are responsible for representing Oscar Mayer on a daily basis while driving the iconic 87-year-old vehicle across America from June 2024 to June 2025.
Ed Roland, who runs the Wienermobile program, remarks, "Their content is like a PR firm on wheels. They contribute significantly to our social media channels and their content performs exceptionally well for Kraft Heinz."
The job listing states that Oscar Mayer's fleet of six Wienermobiles will be staffed by Hotdoggers who will travel in pairs and host over 200 pop-up events throughout the year. Their responsibilities include appearing on local media outlets and promoting the brand.
To get the gig, you must show your driving record. On average, drivers travel 20,000 miles annually and visit at least 40 cities, according to Oscar Mayer.
Roland says that it's similar to an RV, and applicants do not require a CDL or any unique driver's license.
Major holidays will necessitate Hotdoggers to spend a significant portion of their year away from home while performing their duties.
The one-year assignment offers a base salary of $35,600, along with a weekly allowance of $150 for meals and travel, according to the listing. Additionally, Hotdoggers will receive health benefits, 18 days of paid time off, and have all of their hotel expenses covered.
In a typical year, the Wienermobile program receives between 1,000 and 1,500 applications for the 12 open slots, but has gotten as many as 7,000 in a single year.
Applications for Oscar Mayer will be accepted until the end of January, with a preference given to bilingual candidates.
