A toasted waffle-looking robot vacuum cleaner has been launched by Eggo for $150.
Eggo’s latest new product really sucks.
EggoVac, a unique cleaning device, has been introduced by the 70-year-old waffle brand in collaboration with vacuum maker Bissell.
The EggoVac is a Bissell SpinWave R5 cleaner that has been given a breakfast-inspired makeover. The round robot resembles a toasted Eggo waffle with butter and syrup, and features the brand's iconic yellow and red colors along its edges.
The EggoVac, announced by Bissell director of brand and content Theresa Junkunc, is a product that embodies the convergence of innovation and convenience.
Kellanova's senior director of marketing for frozen foods, Joe Beauprez, stated that the product would assist parents in managing the messes caused by giving waffles to children.
The EggoVac website is currently offering the SpinWave R5 for $150, which is significantly cheaper than its usual price of $500. However, it appears that the product has already sold out.
According to Eggo, the vacuum will be removed from the market on December 31, and customers will have the opportunity to win one on Cyber Monday in November.
Recently, Eggo has been gaining attention through its successful product collaborations, including its "Brunch in a Jar" liqueur in August.
The 40 proof drink, a sequel to the boozy Eggo Nog from the previous year, boasted of having "the delightful taste of crispy Eggo waffles smothered in syrup."
