A survey has revealed the top 15 cities where college graduates desire to reside after graduation.
Determining your post-college plans is just one aspect; you must also decide on your ideal residence.
Seattle has emerged as a new frontrunner for hotspots, with a high demand for jobs and a highly valued social scene for people in their 20s.
The latest Next Cities Index by Axios and The Generation Lab, which ranked cities based on factors such as gender and political affiliation, revealed that Seattle was the most popular location among young adults aged 18 to 24.
One college senior stated to Axios that he wanted to relocate to Seattle after graduation because the city "feels like a young-person city."
While the Emerald City was slightly more desired by men than women, female students chose New York as their top pick, followed by Seattle and Boston. Similarly, politically independent students preferred Seattle, while Republicans picked Austin, Texas, and Democrats chose New York.
According to the report, these 15 cities are the most popular destinations among college students.

According to the survey, health care was the most popular industry among respondents, with 29% expressing interest, followed by education and research at 15% and tech jobs at 12%.
A study by Axios found that half of the 2,109 college students surveyed nationwide between November 18, 2021 and February 14, 2022 planned to live outside their home states after graduation, while only 20% planned to move back to their hometowns.
Since 2019, people ages 25 to 29 have been migrating to cities like Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, and Austin, and this trend is not limited to Seattle, as Colorado Springs, Austin, and Denver also made it to the top this year, according to a 2021 report using Census Bureau data.
