  • Kamala Harris predicted that Donald Trump would lie during their upcoming debate.
  • Harris informed Smiley that there is no limit to how low he may go, so we should be ready for it.
  • The poor performance of Biden in the presidential debate against Trump led him to withdraw from the race shortly thereafter.

Kamala Harris is preparing for Donald Trump to deceive and mislead during their first televised debate, according to an interview she gave on Monday.

"On "The Rickey Smiley Morning Show," the vice president stated, "I believe he'll deceive.""

In the interview recorded last Wednesday, Harris stated, "Trump is playing from an old and worn-out playbook. We should expect him to go as low as possible, and we should be prepared for it."

Harris was questioned by Smiley about her plans to handle Trump's "attacks" and "temperament" during the ABC News debate on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET.

She replied, "We should expect him to speak a lot of untruths since he is not burdened by telling the truth."

After a New Hampshire campaign rally, Harris shared her plans with Smiley to highlight how Trump prioritizes his own interests over those of the American people.

Harris stated that it would likely be brought up during the debate.

"I believe he will lie."

"She stated that he has a playbook that he has used in the past, including his attacks on President Obama and former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. As a result, some of that might come out."

On Tuesday night, Trump and Harris will face off in a 90-minute debate, which could be their only in-person encounter before the election on November 5th.

The poor performance of President Joe Biden in a late June presidential debate against Trump led him to drop out of the race and endorse Harris as his replacement.

In a matter of weeks, Harris has narrowed the polling gap with Trump, but a recent poll shows them tied, with voters expressing a need for more information about the new Democratic nominee.
