Six Places to Get Discounts and Freebies for National Doughnut Day, Including Dunkin' and Krispy Kreme.
The day to celebrate doughnuts is approaching, and many restaurants are providing discounts and freebies to commemorate the occasion.
The Salvation Army established National Doughnut Day in 1930 to recognize their "Donut Lassies," who served in France during World War I and provided comfort to wounded soldiers through doughnut-making. This year, the holiday falls on June 7, which is the first Friday in June.
