The Golden State Warriors' second game has been postponed following the death of their assistant coach, Dejan Milojević.

The Warriors' game against the Mavericks, originally scheduled for Friday, has been postponed and a new date has not been announced. In its place, ESPN will broadcast the Nets versus Lakers matchup on Friday night.

On Wednesday, the Warriors revealed that Milojević passed away after suffering a heart attack at a private team dinner.

Steve Kerr, Warriors Head Coach, expressed his devastation over Dejan's sudden passing in a press release. He stated that it was a shocking and tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, and all of them who had the pleasure of working with him.

Milojević, in his third season on the Warriors’ coaching staff, was a part of the team that won the 2022 NBA Championship. Prior to joining the Warriors, he served as the head coach for KK Mega Basket in Belgrade, Serbia, from 2012 to 2020. He also had experience as a member of summer leagues for the Atlanta Hawks, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets.
