  • For the 2025 model year, General Motors is revamping its iconic Cadillac Escalade with fresh aesthetics and advanced features.
  • The automaker will increase production of a V-Series performance model, which currently tops out at more than $152,000, to better meet demand.
  • The Escalade is a vital vehicle for Cadillac and its parent company, GM, as it serves as the highly profitable flagship of their full-size SUV lineup.

The Cadillac Escalade V-Series performance model will have an increased production as part of the updates to the flagship SUV for the 2025 model year in Detroit.

The SUV comes equipped with a 55-inch diagonal display for the driver, a passenger-only screen, an executive package for the second row, power doors, large 24-inch wheels, and other upgrades.

Since its introduction 25 years ago, the Escalade has consistently set the standard for full-size SUV luxury through its emphasis on American craftsmanship, technology, and performance, as stated by John Roth, vice president of Cadillac, in a release.

The Escalade is a vital vehicle for Cadillac and its parent company, GM, as it serves as the flagship of their large SUV lineup and has held a dominant position in the U.S. market for full-size SUVs for many years.

The 2025 model year design updates, such as the streamlined front lighting and enlarged interior display, bring the gas-powered vehicle closer to its upcoming electric counterpart. The car still boasts a prominent front grille and assertive road presence.

The 2025 Escalade will still be powered by two 6.2-liter V-8 engines, including a supercharged V-Series performance model that produces 682 horsepower and 653 foot-pounds of torque.

The 2025 Escalade V-Series, which was launched two years ago, will have its production increased by Cadillac due to high demand. Officials did not disclose the exact amount of production that will be increased.

A Cadillac spokeswoman informed CNBC that production is being increased to meet customer demand for Escalade's top-of-the-line performance, luxury, and craftsmanship while maintaining exclusivity.

Pricing for the 2025 models will be announced closer to launch. The Escalade IQ, an all-electric vehicle, is expected to cost around $130,000 when it hits the market. The entry-level model starts at $81,000, while the V-Series costs more than $152,000.

The 2025 Escalade, a gas-powered vehicle produced by the Detroit automaker, was unveiled online Wednesday, with production and sales set to commence later this year.

Along with full-size SUVs from Chevrolet and GMC, the Escalade will continue to be produced at GM's Arlington Assembly in Texas, utilizing a shared vehicle platform and components with the Cadillac model.
