Nissan aims to increase sales by 1 million vehicles in the next three years and reduce the cost of electric vehicles.
The Japanese carmaker aims to achieve an additional 1 million vehicle sales and a 30% reduction in electric vehicle production costs by 2030, as announced on Monday.
Nissan announced that it plans to launch 30 new models by fiscal year 2026, with 16 of these being electric vehicles. The company aims to achieve parity between the costs of electric and combustion engine vehicles by 2030.
Nissan President and CEO Makoto Uchida stated that this plan will allow us to advance more quickly and effectively in generating value and maintaining a competitive edge.
"In response to intense market fluctuations, Nissan is implementing a new plan to promote long-term growth and profitability."
The automaker aims to achieve an operating profit margin of over 6% by the conclusion of fiscal 2026, in addition to its statement.
