After Ford's cross-town competitor reported a 0.6% increase in second-quarter sales from the previous year, GM announced that its total sales of 696,086 in the second quarter were its highest since the fourth quarter of 2020.
Despite expectations for the overall market to remain stagnant, both Ford and GM experienced growth in sales during the second quarter.
