In 2024, Ford's China operations generated $600 million in earnings.
Despite challenging market conditions, Detroit's operations in China earned roughly $600 million last year, CEO Jim Farley announced Thursday night.
Ford generates profits in China, and I am thrilled about it because not many automakers can claim the same, according to Farley after the vehicle unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show.
Lincoln Nautilus, exclusively produced in China for other markets such as the U.S., was included in the earnings that Farley mentioned.
Western legacy automakers, including Ford and General Motors, have been facing growing challenges in the Chinese market.
Although Ford does not release earnings by region, Farley has previously emphasized the company's "asset-light" strategy in China.
