The 2026 Ioniq 9 SUV is the newest all-electric vehicle for the U.S. market, with a capacity for up to seven passengers and three rows.

Hyundai's latest electric vehicle, the new vehicle, is the largest EV entry to date, joining the existing Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 all-electric vehicles in the expanding fleet of the carmaker.

The Ioniq 9, with its fast charging capabilities, an estimated range of 335 miles, and 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 4.9 seconds, is expected to hit U.S. dealerships in the spring.

The new SUV from Hyundai, which is based on the same platform as the Kia EV9, will not have its pricing disclosed until it is closer to its release in showrooms.

The Ioniq 9 stands out from its Kia EV9 and Hyundai EV siblings with a unique exterior design.

Although the adoption of EVs has been slower than anticipated, Hyundai remains committed to its plan to provide a comprehensive range of EVs for the US market, with a total of 23 EV models by 2030.

Kia and Hyundai, both owned by the same parent company, sold the second-highest volume of EVs in the U.S. through the third quarter of this year, following only the domestic EV leader.

The Ioniq 9 is slated for release in Korea, the U.S., and Europe, with other markets to follow in the second half of 2025.

The vehicle will be produced at a new multibillion-dollar plant in Georgia.
