  • For the 2025 model year, General Motors is introducing a new "AT4 Ultimate" version of the GMC Yukon to its lineup.
  • The SUV will feature a front skid plate, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a four-corner adaptive air suspension that can raise the vehicle up to 2 inches, and other advanced technologies.
  • GMC has expanded its high-end models by introducing "Ultimate" and "AT4" versions, which have become a lucrative source of revenue for the Denali models.

The 2025 model year will see the addition of a new "AT4 Ultimate" model to Detroit's high-end GMC Yukon lineup, along with updates to the large SUV.

The new AT4 Ultimate model will be positioned between the luxury "Denali" and "Denali Ultimate" models. The automaker did not disclose pricing for the new AT4 Ultimate, but the Denali models currently cost around $77,300 and $100,000, respectively. The current AT4 model starts at $73,500.

GMC's Denali models, now in their 25th year, have become a lucrative source of revenue for the automaker. To increase the appeal and pricing of their high-end models, GMC recently introduced the "Ultimate" and "AT4" models with distinctive off-road styling and parts.

GMC's flagship is now expected to deliver ruggedness and capability along with craftsmanship and refinement, as announced by Duncan Aldred, global vice president of GMC, in a release.

Yukon's overall sales are dominated by Denali models, with more than 50% of sales, while AT4 models account for only about 17%.

The new AT4 Ultimate models feature a front skid plate, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a four-corner adaptive air suspension that raises the vehicle up to 2 inches, and other advanced features.

According to GM, the higher trim models have helped GMC achieve an average transaction price of approximately $80,000 for Yukon.

The 2025 Yukon will receive updates such as new styling, larger screens, second row executive seating, and a 3.0-liter diesel engine for improved range and fuel economy, in addition to the AT4 Ultimate.

The 2025 GMC Yukon will be manufactured at GM's Arlington Assembly plant in Texas and is anticipated to be released by the conclusion of 2024.
