Jim Allen, Hard Rock International Chairman and Seminole Gaming CEO, stated that he is open to FanDuel CEO Amy Howe's comments about trying again to enter the Florida market.
He stated in an interview with CNBC at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas that he has developed a great relationship with both FanDuel and DraftKings.
Allen says he's met with both companies over the past two days.
He acknowledged that forming a strategic relationship with some high-profile brands could benefit both parties in the long run and expressed openness to discussing such possibilities.
At Flutter's investor day two weeks ago, Howe stated that her focus is on three crucial super states: California, Florida, and New York.
Hard Rock's potential deal with FanDuel and DraftKings was not commented on by these companies.
For years, operators have been keeping an eye on Florida, which has a larger population than New York state and generates the most sports betting revenue, as well as hosting more than 20 professional and Division 1 college sports teams.
In December 2020, Seminole Hard Rock launched sports betting and expanded its casino table games across six locations in Florida, marking a new era in Florida gaming.
On the grounds that the tribe is a sovereign nation, Allen refused to disclose the revenue generated from sports gaming in Florida.
