Explore the interior of one of the world's most renowned hotels: Raffles Hotel Singapore.
Since its inception in 1887, the Raffles Hotel Singapore has been synonymous with old world grandeur and colonial architecture, making it the preferred choice for the city-state's visiting elite.
The hotel, which was renovated in 2019 after a two-year restoration rumored to have cost upward of $200 million, has hosted guests such as Rudyard Kipling and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
The hotel, situated on three hectares near the city's Central Business District, is a tourist attraction in its own right. Guests often stop to take pictures of its elaborate façade or to enjoy a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar, where the drink was first conceived.
Christian Westbeld, the Managing Director, stated that half of the hotel is reserved exclusively for guests.
""Our guests experience a unique sensation when they enter our premises, as time seems to slow down within our walls," he said to CNBC."
