In early 2025, Ed Sheeran will embark on a Mathematics Tour that will include stops in Bhutan, India, and the Middle East.

The +–=÷x Tour will feature a significant stop in Thimphu, Bhutan's capital, on January 24, 2025, marking the first major international concert to be held in the country, as per a press release.

On Saturday, tickets for the concert at Thimpu's Changlimithang Stadium went on sale, with the cheapest tickets priced at $10 already sold out. Other tickets, priced at $30, $50, $70, and $100, are still available.

According to Ranker.com, the average price for an Ed Sheeran concert ticket is $167, making him the No. 2 artist on the website's list of "worth the ticket price" singers, behind only Pink.

According to Klook, the cost of tickets to see Sheeran in Singapore in February varied from $88 to $488 Singapore dollars ($65 to $363).

A fee rise ahead? Bhutan's Prime Minister on the amount people 'willing to pay' to visit

To enter Bhutan, international attendees, except for Indian nationals, must obtain a visa for $40 and pay the country's Sustainable Development Fee, which is currently $100 for adults and $50 for children aged six to 12.

Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay stated in May that the fee, which is charged per person per day, is used to safeguard the environment, offer free education, and provide free healthcare to citizens.

New tour dates

In February, Sheeran will perform six shows in India, including Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Shillong, and Delhi, before heading to Qatar and Bahrain for shows on April 30 and May 2, respectively.

The Bhutan performance is being promoted by AEG Presents, One Fiinix Live, and Gelephu Mindfulness City, which is a 2,600-square-kilometer city that will serve as an economic and tourist gateway to Bhutan.

The city, which has not yet been constructed, is envisioned in masterplans as a low-to-mid-rise metropolis with a series of bridges housing a new international airport, a university, a health-care facility for Eastern and Western medicine, a spiritual center, and a hydroelectric dam, as per the plan.

The sustainable city, with a population of 1 million, aims to be the world's "greenest, cleanest, and safest" city, as announced in a press release about Sheeran's new concert dates.

The Mathematics Tour, launched by Sheeran in 2022, has already seen 134 performances and is set to conclude in 2025.
