Disney Cruise Line has announced details about what fans can expect on the upcoming Disney Adventure, including some of its features.
Disney's sixth cruise liner, which will be its first to homeport in Asia, is set to depart from Singapore on its maiden voyage in 2025.
The Disney Adventure will offer three- and four-night cruises with a capacity of 6,700 passengers and 2,500 crew members, according to a press release. All sailings will depart from Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
What to expect on board
Seven themed areas inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel films are featured in the Disney Adventure.
- The Imagination Garden is the central hub and entrance to the ship, boasting an "enchanted valley," garden, and outdoor performance space.
- A magical underwater world awaits at Discovery Reef, where you can immerse yourself in the enchanting tales and characters from Disney's beloved nautical films, including "The Little Mermaid" and "Finding Nemo."
- A family entertainment area with interactive games, shops, and movie theaters, inspired by a street market in San Fransokyo.
- A Pacific island-inspired poolside retreat, Wayfinder Bay, mirrors the hues and aesthetic of "Moana."
- A forest-themed shopping and dining destination, Town Square, is a popular gathering spot for Disney royalty fans.
- Avengers' superheroes fans can enjoy all-new attractions at Marvel Landing.
- A themed play area inspired by Pixar's "Toy Story" franchise, featuring themed food venues and water play areas, is known as Toy Story Place.
The release states that staterooms will have discreet Disney touches and the cruise line's split-bath concept, allowing two people to get ready simultaneously.
Disney Adventure will feature characters, entertainment based on Disney songs, and viewings of its most popular movies, like other Disney cruises.
Disney Adventure is marketed as the ultimate family holiday at sea, offering a spa, fitness center, and premium dining options for parents, as stated in the press release.
The company's first cruise ship based in Asia will offer a unique experience for passengers.
Disney Cruise Line's vice president and regional general manager for Asia, Sarah Fox, stated that guests can expect a magical experience at sea with personalized touches, a variety of global cuisines, and retail offerings that reflect local flavors.
Other Disney cruises
Disney Adventure has been added to Disney Cruise Line's fleet of five ships, along with two other ships, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, that are also being launched, according to the release.
Disney offers cruises to various destinations, including the Caribbean, Europe, Alaska, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, the South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand.
Singapore's strategic location, world-class air connectivity, and port infrastructure make it a thriving cruise hub in Southeast Asia, as stated in Tuesday's press release.
An agreement between Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board states that cruises will continue for a minimum of five years.
The departure date and pricing for the ship's first voyage have not been disclosed.
