On Thursday, the retailer announced a new partnership with fast food chain Burger King that will offer members of its Walmart+ subscription program a 25% discount on any Burger King order made through the BK app. Additionally, members will receive a free-flame grilled Whopper every three months starting in September with a purchase, as stated in a news release.

At a time when cost-conscious diners are increasingly searching for value, Walmart positioned the added benefits as cost savings for its members.

Venessa Yates, senior vice president and general manager, stated that our members will be happy with the extra savings and we are excited to partner with Burger King to provide this advantage.

Walmart+ offers free shipping and delivery on Walmart orders for $12.95 per month or $98 annually. In 2022, Walmart struck a streaming deal with Paramount to provide Walmart+ members with free access to an ad-supported plan on Paramount+.

Burger King North America's chief marketing officer, Pat O'Toole, stated that the company is excited to become the first dining partner of Walmart+ and is eager to offer even more savings to members on their flame-grilled favorites at Burger King.
