The newly crowned winner of "Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2024" list is Tokyo's Sézanne.

The Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi's neo-classical French restaurant, previously ranked No. 2, has risen to the top of the 2023 list.

This year's list includes nine restaurants from Japan and the small city-state of Singapore.

With a population of over 1.4 billion, China has the most restaurants in the world, with 11 being named to the list, including six in Hong Kong, four in Shanghai, and one in Macao.

Since 2017, Odette has been consistently ranked among the top 10 restaurants in Singapore (No. 10), with Burnt Ends, an Australian barbecue restaurant, following closely behind at No. 15.

Euphoria, Born, Meta, Labyrinth, Seroja, Les Amis, and Lolla are all located in Singapore, which is one of the smallest nations in Asia.

Restaurants on the top 50 list are dispersed among 19 cities in Asia.

The "Sustainable Restaurant Award" was won by Bangkok's Haoma, which ranked No. 90 on the 51-100 ranking. The restaurant was recognized for its "farm-to-table and zero-waste cooking," as well as its use of hydroponics to produce its own ingredients and sourcing locally from organic farms.

The organization's voting methodology aims to fairly represent the Asian restaurant scene by dividing judges into six regions: the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia (south), Southeast Asia (north), Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao, mainland China and Korea, and Japan.

Coa, a Hong Kong bar, was ranked as the top bar in Asia in 2023 by the 50 Best organization, which also produces an annual ranking for "Asia's 50 Best Bars."
