According to AirlineRatings.com, Qatar Airways was named "Airline of the Year" for 2024.

In 2023, Air New Zealand surpassed the Doha-based airline, which had previously been ranked No. 1, to become the top airline.

The website states that the list encompasses both major safety and government audits, as well as 12 essential criteria, including product ratings, passenger reviews, safety assessments, fleet age, and incident reports.

Geoffrey Thomas, Editor-in-Chief of AirlineRatings.com, stated that Qatar Airways was ranked first in several categories, although the top ten airlines were very close in their scores.

In a row, Qatar Airways won the "Best Business Class" category, Singapore Airlines was named "Best First Class," and Air New Zealand won "Best Economy Class."
