Walgreens and Bilt team up to streamline FSA and HSA purchases.

Bilt and Walgreens have teamed up to help address the issue of unspent Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds by making it easier to access your FSA or Health Savings Account (HSA) funds through the Bilt app. With this partnership, you can use your FSA or HSA funds to offset eligible purchases made with any card linked to Bilt Rewards.

You can now earn Bilt Points at Walgreens, including prescription refills, without needing a Bilt Mastercard®. Simply use a credit or debit card linked to your Bilt Rewards account to earn bonus points.

Automatic FSA/HSA Savings program

You can now link your FSA or HSA to your Bilt account and simplify your reimbursements for eligible expenses with the Automatic Healthcare Savings program. To use this feature, enter the debit card information for your FSA or HSA.

You can easily get reimbursed for eligible purchases using your healthcare spending account, regardless of the credit or debit card you use. Within 72 hours, Bilt will identify eligible items and you'll be able to apply your healthcare savings funds to the purchase with just a few taps. You should receive a credit to your original form of payment within three business days.

Bilt Walgreens benefits

Bilt members can earn special perks for shopping at Walgreens with this partnership. Any credit card or debit card linked to your Bilt Rewards account will earn rewards.

  • 2X Bilt Points on Walgreens-branded items
  • 1X Bilt Points on all other eligible purchases at Walgreens
  • 100 bonus points on prescription refills (subject to exclusions; activation required)

This offer excludes a few items from earning Bilt Points, such as alcohol, dairy, and tobacco products. For a complete list of exclusions, please refer to the partnership terms.

You will soon receive complimentary photo printing through this partnership.

Cards to link to your Bilt account

You can link Visa, Mastercard, or American Express cards to your Bilt Rewards accounts, which allows you to accumulate rewards for purchases at Walgreens and other retailers.

Rewritten: When it comes to earning rewards on purchases, there are several cards to consider. For general purchases, the Citi Double Cash® Card or Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card are good options as they offer 1% cash back or cash rewards on every purchase. However, for drugstore purchases, the Chase Freedom Unlimited® is the best choice as it offers 4.5% cash back on drugstore purchases in the first year and 3% cash back after that. The cash back earned is in the form of Chase Ultimate Rewards® points.

If you have a Chase credit card that allows point transfers, such as the Sapphire Preferred, you can combine those points and transfer the rewards you earned with the Freedom Unlimited to any of Chase's travel partners, including those that overlap with Bilt's transfer options, such as World of Hyatt, United MileagePlus, and Flying Blue (KLM and Air France).
