JetBlue is going all in on expanding its premium offerings.
JetBlue, a New York-based airline, has unveiled plans to launch its first airport lounges at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) in late 2025. This move will enable the airline to compete more effectively against larger airlines such as Delta, United, and American, which have long offered this amenity. In addition to this news, JetBlue has also revealed the first details of a new premium co-branded credit card.
JetBlue's new lounges are accessible through CNBC Select, which provides all the necessary information.

JetBlue airport lounge details
JetBlue's new airport lounges will be located in Terminal 5 at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Terminal C at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). The JFK lounge is expected to open late in 2025, while the Boston lounge is expected to open "soon after" the JFK lounge.
The JFK and BOS lounges will each cover 8,000 and 11,000 square feet, respectively, and will feature JetBlue branding and regional artwork. Both lounges will offer free food and beverages, including barista-made coffee and craft cocktails. Additionally, the lounges will have private workspaces, complimentary Wi-Fi, and numerous charging stations.
How to access the new JetBlue lounges
JetBlue acknowledges that overcrowding is a frequent problem in airport lounges, hence it plans to restrict access to its most exclusive clients.
Here's what we know so far about how to access these lounges:
Select Mint flights
When flying JetBlue's Mint class on a transatlantic flight, you'll have access to lounges. JetBlue's Mint class is its long-haul international business class cabin and is currently offered on flights to European destinations such as Paris, London, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
Notably, Mint customers traveling within the Americas, including transcontinental and Caribbean routes, will not receive complimentary access.
Top-tier JetBlue Mosaic status
JetBlue's Mosaic elite status has four tiers, with Tier 4 members receiving complimentary JetBlue lounge access for themselves and one companion. This perk is valuable for both current and potential Mosaic members.
To achieve Mosaic 4 status, you must accumulate 250 tiles. You can earn tiles by making JetBlue purchases, including using a JetBlue airline credit card. For every $100 spent with JetBlue, including flights, vacation packages, and more, you will receive one tile. For credit card transactions, you will receive one tile for every $1,000 in eligible JetBlue card transactions.
JetBlue premium cardholders
JetBlue announced plans to launch a new premium credit card, which will offer complimentary lounge access for the cardholder and one guest. While details of the upcoming card have not been shared, it is expected to come with a high annual fee and a range of benefits to offset its cost.
Paid access
JetBlue will provide paid access to its lounges, with annual memberships and day passes available for purchase. Prices have not been announced, but are expected to be competitive with other airline lounges that offer paid access, which typically charge $650 or more for an annual membership, with reduced prices for elite status members. Some lounges do not offer day passes, but those that do typically cost at least $60 per person.
How to get lounge access in Boston or New York right now
You can access 10 lounges at JFK and three lounges at BOS with a Priority Pass airport lounge membership, which is available at no additional cost with many credit cards.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve® card grants unlimited Priority Pass access to the cardholder and two guests, with no additional cost. This access includes entry to Chase Sapphire Lounges, located at BOS and JFK. The annual fee for the card is $550, which is largely offset by benefits such as an annual $300 travel credit.
Enrolling in the American Express Global Lounge Collection is possible with cards such as The Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, which provides access to Priority Pass locations and Amex's Centurion Lounges.
You will have access to 15 lounges at JFK and seven at Boston with these cards, including a Centurion Lounge and several Delta Sky Club locations, which are only accessible when traveling on an eligible Delta flight (terms apply).
