Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card new welcome bonus
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card provides a substantial welcome bonus of 75,000 miles after spending $4,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening. This bonus is worth $750 when redeemed as a statement credit. Additionally, transferring these miles to one of Capital One's travel partners can increase the value of this bonus.
Capital One is now offering new cardholders a $250 travel credit that can be used for one year on flights, hotels, vacation rentals, and rental cars on their travel platform. When combined with the existing bonus, you could receive up to $1,000 to spend on travel.
How to make the most out of this bonus
You can use the $250 travel credit for one year after approval, but it can only be redeemed for travel purchases on the Capital One Travel portal. If you earn the 75,000-mile bonus, you can combine it with the travel credit to make an expensive vacation more affordable.
If you transfer those miles to Turkish Airlines' Miles&Smiles program, you can book a round-trip flight from New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX) priced at $500 with miles to spare. Additionally, once you arrive in Los Angeles, your $250 travel credit can cover one night at the Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel or help pay for renting a car for the weekend (in case you want the authentic Angeleno experience of being stuck in traffic).
To travel to Europe, you can transfer your Capital One miles to Avianca LifeMiles for flights starting at 20,000 miles one-way in economy class or 63,000 miles in business class. Additionally, you can transfer your Capital One miles to Flying Blue, the joint loyalty program of Air France and KLM, to book round-trip flights to Europe and take advantage of discounted prices through their Promo Rewards offers.
The Capital One Venture Rewards card is a great travel companion, earning 2X miles on all spending (excluding Capital One Travel purchases) and providing up to $100 statement credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®, with no foreign transaction fees.
