As the Russia-Ukraine conflict unfolds, Bill Ackman suggests that U.S. military intervention may be necessary.

Bill Ackman, an investor, stated on Monday that the U.S. should consider military intervention to protect Ukraine from Russian forces advancing from various directions.

The CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management advised President Biden to explore alternative actions if the conflict persists beyond economic sanctions.

Ackman tweeted that he hopes Russia stops the onslaught, but he doesn't see how Putin can save face. He believes we need to prepare for what comes next and start thinking about intervening military. Ackman asked, 'Isn't it time we set a real red line?'

"We cannot stand idly by and watch hundreds of thousands or even millions of Ukrainians die. We do not want to live in a world where that happens. @POTUS, it is now up to you to correct past mistakes and safeguard our future. With all due respect, Mr. President, the time has come for action." Ackman stated.

The Biden administration has imposed sanctions on Russia's central bank, National Wealth Fund of the Russian Federation, and Ministry of Finance, preventing Americans from conducting any business with these entities. As a result, assets of the Russian central bank in the United States will be frozen.

A Ukrainian delegation has arrived near the border with Belarus to hold talks with Russian officials. Meanwhile, Ukraine's armed forces continue to defend and retain control of key cities, slowing Russia's advance on Kyiv.

Ackman later clarified his earlier remarks, stating that he did not propose immediate deployment of U.S. troops on the ground.

Ackman wrote in a separate post that he is not advocating for U.S. boots on the ground today, as Putin has threatened the nuclear option. He believes that we need to set a red line on the use of nuclear weapons to deter their use. If the unthinkable happens, Ackman sees no alternative to our entering the war.

The administration is still aiding Ukraine in defending itself with security assistance, as stated by the White House to CNBC.

The White House spokesperson stated that deliveries of U.S. security assistance to aid the Ukrainian military in defending their country are ongoing and have been arriving regularly. Additionally, the U.S. is collaborating with allies to transfer U.S.-made military equipment from their inventories to Ukraine.
