The CEO of Ford's successful Pro business is set to retire.
  • The head of Ford's successful "Pro" commercial and fleet business will retire at the end of this month, the company announced on Thursday.
  • Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis will be temporarily replaced by Andrew Frick, president of Ford's traditional "Blue" operations.

The head of General Motors' highly profitable "Pro" commercial and fleet business will retire at the end of this month, the company announced on Thursday.

Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis, who has spent 35 years with the company, will be temporarily replaced by Andrew Frick, president of Ford's traditional "Blue" operations, until a new leader is announced.

Ford Pro's success, with $70 billion in revenue this year, is largely due to Ted's dedication and enthusiasm for customers, as stated by Ford CEO Jim Farley.

Since 2021, Ford Pro has generated $18.7 billion in adjusted earnings and $184.5 billion in revenue, contributing to the automaker's profitability and offsetting losses from its electric vehicle business.

Wall Street has praised Ford's Italian sports car manufacturer, which has been referred to as a "hidden gem" by analysts.

Ford's Customer Service Division, responsible for global parts, services, accessories, and vehicle customization, was led by Cannis.

Upon Cannis' retirement, Daniel Justo, currently the chief financial officer of Ford Blue, will take over the operations.

"Leading Ford Pro and FCSD has been the most exciting and fulfilling part of my career," Cannis stated in a statement. "Ford Pro is a thriving business with an impressive scale, workforce, and top-notch dealers and upfitters, all dedicated to serving the people and businesses that drive our economy and communities. I am eager to see Ford Pro and FCSD continue to innovate and expand."
