Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani predicted that numerous LLMs will exist globally.
Nilekani stated on CNBC's "Squaw Box Europe" on Tuesday that as AI becomes more dependent on the data it is trained on, companies will need to focus on training models specifically for unique data in each part of the world. This includes India, where many companies are now building India-specific LLM solutions for Indian languages.
"In the end, the models will become more standardized, and the worth will shift to the top-level software and the entire architecture."
According to Nilekani, the next wave of value from AI will come from applications built on top of LLMs and related technologies.
