The Champions League final on May 28 has been relocated from St Petersburg to Paris due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The UEFA executive committee convened an emergency meeting on Friday and made the decision to relocate the upcoming showpiece from the 68,000-capacity Gazprom Arena in Moscow to the Stade de France in Paris.

The UEFA Executive Committee met in an extraordinary session due to the deteriorating security situation in Europe.

The UEFA Executive Committee opted to move the 2021/22 UEFA Men's Champions League final from Saint Petersburg to Stade de France in Saint-Denis. The match will be played on schedule at 21:00 CET on Saturday 28 May.
