Apple users can access ChatGPT through some text menus without needing an OpenAI account, but they can pay for upgraded versions of ChatGPT through Apple.

The iOS 18.2 release marks a crucial milestone for Apple, as the company is relying on its suite of artificial intelligence features, Apple Intelligence, to lead the iPhone 16 lineup's marketing campaign. Apple first unveiled the ChatGPT integration in June.
