In November, the number of foreign mobile phone shipments in China was 3.04 million units, as calculated by CNBC using data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
The drop in sales from November 2023 to October last year was 51%, while the decline from November 2023 to the same month the previous year was 47.4%.
Although CAICT does not provide figures for individual brands, Apple dominates the foreign mobile phone market in China, with Samsung having a minimal presence.

In 2023, Huawei, whose handset business was affected by U.S. sanctions, experienced a resurgence in the back end and launched high-end smartphones in China that were well-received by local buyers.
